Exchange on the topic of tourism and sustainability

29 January 2026:
Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of Spanish students to our school. The young people come from Ibiza and are currently visiting Goerdeler-Gymnasium as part of an Erasmus+ / eTwinning project. There, they are working on the topic of tourism and sustainability under the title ‘Green Footprints – Youth Shaping the Future of Tourism’.
The aim of the project is to raise awareness among young people about the sustainable use of tourism resources and to give them an insight into local strategies for sustainable urban and tourism development. As part of their project, we had the opportunity to present our work to them today and show them how we are working on and with the Pader River on the topic of sustainability and sustainable tourism. Among other things, we discussed opportunities and challenges for the city as well as how to deal with natural and cultural areas.
