An unusual and abstract work by French artist GREMS can now be admired on the twelve-metre façade of the Paderborn building “An der Burg 4”: Graffiti in shades of white, black and blue adorns the wall like a waterfall. To mark the town twinning with Le Mans and the artistic support provided by our "City. People. River." project, the graffiti map of the city of Paderborn has now been enriched by another work of art.
GREMS has worked on the theme of “water” and based it on the color palette of our project. The 47-year-old Frenchman is known in France as a rapper, music producer, street artist and designer and, in addition to his own label, has a clothing brand and a number of collaborations with international brands. His artistic style is an abstract post-graffiti style in which he has evolved from both style writing and muralism.
His works are created in a process: he first brought the waterfall onto a canvas in his studio with music and movement, then vectorized it, projected it onto the façade in the dark and traced the contours before applying the paint to the wall.
