Exhibition in summer 2025
Under the title “The river is me - an exhibition on the Pader”, works of art with very different questions and approaches will be on display and can be experienced in Paderborn this summer. To this end, international artists have been asked to take an artistic look at the Pader, its role in the city and its significance for people. Various local cultural institutions, artists and other organizations are supporting the exhibition.
Kick-off event on March 27
The close cooperation with the City of Paderborn's project to apply for the European Heritage Label 2025 also includes this first event, at which the teams from “Tatort Paderborn 2025 - Der Fluss bin ich” and “Stadt.Mensch.Fluss - Die Pader für Europa” will introduce themselves and invite visitors to an open, interactive discussion about the interaction of art with history, ecology and urban development along the Pader. In this way, questions will be collected in advance that will be pursued throughout the summer in connection with the exhibition.
The event starts at 5.30 pm, admission is free and registration is not required.
The event series “Kunst_Fluss_Gespräche” is being held on the occasion of the exhibition “Der Fluss bin ich” in cooperation with “Stadt.Mensch.Fluss - Die Pader für Europa” and the Catholic University of Applied Sciences North Rhine-Westphalia (Paderborn).
