We are part of the Wasser Plus OWL network

5 February 2026:

We are delighted to now be part of the “wasser^plus OWL” network. Wasser^plus OWL is a cooperation platform funded by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia that addresses the current issues and challenges facing water management in Germany. The network brings together relevant stakeholders and structures in this context, while also focusing on attracting young talent.

With our project, we as the water city of Paderborn can help raise awareness of water as a valuable resource through dialogue. In addition, together we can establish a link to the general public, especially young people from all over Europe. We also want to promote science communication and draw attention to current and future challenges in the field of water, thereby strengthening the need for transdisciplinary cooperation.

As a project, we also benefit from the knowledge and network in these areas: in the interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary cooperation of sustainable water management. In addition, the development of integrated solutions to meet current and future challenges in the water sector provides us with new approaches. And we can gain insights into the next generation in the field of water management through interactive formats, talent promotion, and international exchange programs.
