First Paderborn Water Academy

7 July 2024:
Final presentation took place at the Schützenhof
At the beginning of July, 160 children and young people attended the first Paderborn Water Academy and presented their results at Paderborn's Schützenhof.
During the project week organised by the Paderborn Cultural Office, artists and institutions such as the museums, the library, the theatre, the adult education centre, university departments, the waterworks, the municipal drainage company, the nature conservation association, the consumer advice centre and others worked with the participating children and young people in 20 activities to create a water map, conduct chemical and physical experiments, produce plays, texts and films, a fashion show, digital soundscapes, sculptures and much more.
In addition to the general scarcity of water, Paderborn's application for the European Heritage Label also creates a close link to the topic.
