14 March 2025:

From June 28 to October 5, 2025, the short course of the Pader river invites you to experience art in Paderborn. As the third edition of “Tatort Paderborn”, the exhibition “Der Fluss bin ich” will once again showcase art in public spaces. The curators Marijke Lukowicz as artistic director and Sophia Trollmann as co-curator have now announced whose works will be on display.

This year's exhibition is dedicated to the river Pader and its special significance for the city. All of the participating artworks were created on and in relation to the water. The Pader has shaped Paderborn and plays a major role for the city, its citizens and guests. This uniqueness is currently reflected not least in the application for the European Heritage Label. Accordingly, the “Stadt.Mensch.Fluss” project team is one of the local collaborations involved in the exhibition.

The curators have invited artists and art collectives to use the uniqueness of the Pader as an artistic occasion to develop or adapt their own works especially for the exhibition. This means that all the works on display in Paderborn this summer will be German premieres.

Participating artists

The list of contributions to “Der Fluss bin ich” is international, but also includes a local Paderborn artist. This means that a wide range of different starting perspectives allow for a broad spectrum of artistic points of view. In addition, the participants work with very different approaches and artistic means, from sound installations to textile sculptures and performances, to name just a few examples. Some works accompany the course of the river in such a way that they consist of several parts and appear in several places.

The artists who will be installing their works along the Pader from the city center to Schloß Neuhaus are:
